This is a list of ISO Country Codes. The codes are used in HTML programing to define the country of origin for the web page. The codes are placed in one of two meta tags that make up the page's HTML coding;
<meta http-equiv="language" content="eng" />
<meta http-equiv="dialect" content="us" />
The codes come in handy if you need to translate pages into another language.
